Reiki is: The Universal Mysterious Power
Guiding The Life Force Energy.
Reiki is empowerment. It is movement toward accepting
responsibility for self. It is not a religion or belief
system. It is clear and clean. Reiki passes through
the practitioner being drawn by the recipient. It enters
the crown chakra and moves to the heart where it
passes to the hands of the practitioner and from there
to the recipient. Some of the energy stays in the solar
plexus, thus the practitioner is treated when acting as a
channel for the energy.
Reiki can be used to treat yourself. You can keep
yourself stress free and in a state of balance with
regular treatments.
Reiki works holistically for the body, mind, emotions,
and spirit. The energy works on all of these levels to
heal and to whole what is needed most.
Reiki can be used on plants and animals as well as
human beings. It can be used to heal the earth, past
and future events, our inner child. Reiki can even be
used on what we consider 'inanimate' objects. Every-
thing is composed of energy. Reiki is energy!
Special Reiki initiations called attunements raise
the vibratory rate of the body and open a specific
healing channel in the chakras. Attunements can be
given only by a Reiki Master. At Door Peninsula
Pathways we are Reiki Masters in the Usui Tradition.
Dr. Mikao Usui
Mikao Usui developed Reiki in early 20th century Japan,
where he said he received the ability of 'healing without
energy depletion' after meditating on Mount Kurama. Practi-
tioners channel "healing energy" (ki). Energy flows through
the palms to bring about healing and can be used for self-
treatment as well as treatment of others
both near and far.
Reiki activates the body’s natural ability to heal itself.
Reiki energy can be used for ourselves, other people,
dogs, cats, plants, birds, groups of animals, situa-
tions in the past and in the future, world situations
and can be 'sent' in absentee to those who request help.
One of the wonderful advantages of Reiki is that, as well
as using it on others, you can treat yourself.
